Introduction |
The 135th Annual Wellington Show (including the Food / Fibre / Fashion Feature) will be held at the Wellington Showgrounds on Saturday 1st May 2010. Our show may only be a one day show, but why not make a weekend of your visit! Bring the family and see the many sites of the Wellington area as well as enjoying our action packed show day. Sites of interest include the Wellington Caves & Phosphate Mine, Burrendong Botanic Garden & Arboretum, Mt Arthur Reserve, Wellington Historical Museum and Lake Burrendong to name a few! But be warned - you may never want to leave !!!

Food / Fibre / Fashion |
| This years special event is the Food / Fibre / Fashion Feature, in which we will showcase the sheep, cattle and other produce of the region, from their role in the clothes on our back to the food on our plate. This includes wool and sheep exhibits, fashion parade, spinning & home-spun product demonstrations, farm produce, a shearing competition and more. In addition, we will once again be running a BBQ competition : amongst other things we will again be pitting our local butchers against each other to see who makes the best sausage! |

Junior Schedule |
| This year we are premiering the Junior Schedule (see tab adjacent for full copy) in an attempt to increase the involvement of both juniors and teachers in the show. This condenses the various enterable classes and competitions available to juniors and schools into one easy to use document, copies of which will be distributed through all the local schools and youth oriented community groups. Eventually we would like to encourage the establishment of a Junior Show Committee and get Junior Stewards in all sections. If you are interested in being involved please contact the Secretary |

Competitions |
| This year we will be running a number of both individual and team competitions for both the young and the young at heart, with many great prizes up for grabs. The junior competitions will include whip cracking, poetry, creative writing, comic strip, colouring in and a mini tractor pull. The team competitions will include junior (primary), junior (secondary) and open teams competing in both a tug-o-war and a novelty relay. |

Entertainment |
Entertainment at this years show will include the ever popular snake pit, performances by the Wellington Country Music Association, Corrective Services Band & Wellington town band, Corrective Services Dog Display, activities run by Sport & Rec, many practical craft demonstrations covering a wide range of interesting subjects and much more!
And of course we will have all the usual rides and sideshow attractions!!
The evening will be topped off with a fabulous fireworks display by Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics commencing at 8.00pm

Sections / Exhibits |
| In addition to all the usual exhibits (see various section tabs) we are once again running a Miniature Horse section after the resounding success last year, and will be reintroducing the Farm Produce section. Anyone interested in seeing further new sections in next years show (such as Meat Goats, Alpacas, Cats, etc) and in a position to provide support or to act as steward please contact the Secretary, as we wish to further expand our range of exhibits |
